Replace RS-232 serial cables between a computer and industrial equipment.
Bluetooth-enable industrial equipment so that it can be monitored and controled from a Bluetooth enabled Pocket PC such as the SoMo from Socket Mobile.
The CSA is subject to the following limitations:
Because of power requirements, custom drivers and custom serial communication protocols, the Cordless Serial Adapter is NOT to be used for Dial-Up Networking (DUN) or Activesync.
The CSA will not work with Hot sync or Activesync applications as the protocols used are not supported. In addition these devices utilize additional control lines that are not supported in the CSA.
The CSA is NOT intended to be used with typical consumer serial devices, including but not limited to: 56K modems, cellular phone data cables, digital camera data cables, joysticks, keyboards, mice, Pocket PC cradles, and scanners.
There is no way programmatically to disable Flow Control on the CSA. You would need to make a custom cable or adapter to place in between the CSA and your device to loop PIN's 7&8 coming from the serial port of the connected device in order to disable Flow Control.
There is no way to change the Data bits with the current CSA firmware. This is something we are working on for future updates. We do not have an estimated release date at this time
